Upon arrival at Istanbul International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey, preparing for your Old City walking tour the following day.

Begin your day in the historic heart of Istanbul with a visit to the Hippodrome, originally constructed in the Roman period and later expanded under Byzantine rule as the center of public life, chariot races, and imperial ceremonies.
Continue to the Blue Mosque, one of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks, built in the early 17th century and admired for its harmonious architecture and elegant blue Iznik tiles. Just opposite stands the Hagia Sophia, completed in 537 AD and long regarded as one of the greatest architectural achievements in history.
Before lunch, visit the atmospheric Basilica Cistern, an underground reservoir built during the reign of Emperor Justinian I to supply water to the Great Palace of Constantinople. Enjoy lunch with views of Hagia Sophia before walking to Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans.
After touring the palace, return to your hotel for the evening.
Overnight in Cappadocia
Take a short domestic flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver and begin exploring the region’s unique landscapes.
Visit Devrent (Imagination) Valley, where nature has sculpted whimsical rock formations, followed by Pasabağ (Monks Valley), famous for its striking fairy chimneys and early Christian chapels. Continue to Avanos, located along the Red River, Turkey’s longest river, where you will enjoy a pottery-making demonstration using ancient kick-wheel techniques.
After lunch in Avanos, visit the Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring rock-cut churches adorned with early Christian frescoes. End the day with a relaxing Turkish coffee at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Cappadocia’s surreal landscape.
Overnight in Cappadocia
For those who choose the optional hot air balloon flight, an early morning pickup takes you to the balloon company headquarters for a light breakfast before heading to the takeoff site. As the sun rises, float above Cappadocia’s valleys and fairy chimneys for a truly unforgettable experience. After landing, receive your flight certificate and return to your hotel for a second breakfast.
Later in the morning, meet your guide and begin with a visit to Uçhisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia, historically used as a strategic fortress. Continue to Pigeon Valley, one of the region’s most scenic viewpoints.
Explore Kaymaklı Underground City, one of Cappadocia’s largest subterranean settlements, expanded by early Christians as a refuge during times of invasion. Walk through tunnels, storage rooms, chapels, and stone doors before continuing to the lesser-known Sobesos Ancient City, a Roman archaeological site revealing mosaic floors and bath complexes.
After lunch in Ürgüp, enjoy a final stop at Ortahisar for views of Ortahisar Castle before returning to your hotel.
Overnight in Kuşadası
Transfer to the airport for your flight from Cappadocia to Izmir (direct or via Istanbul). Upon arrival, meet your driver and continue to the coastal town of Kuşadası. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.

After a short drive, visit the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire. Walk through its remarkably preserved ruins, including the Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, ancient agora, and nearby Temple of Artemis.
Continue to the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be her final residence and an important pilgrimage site for Christians and Muslims alike.
After lunch in Selçuk, visit the charming village of Şirince, known for its traditional houses, scenic views, and local fruit wines, before returning to your hotel.
End of Tour
Check out from your hotel and drive to Pamukkale, meaning “Cotton Castle,” a natural wonder famous for its white travertine terraces and thermal waters.
Explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, founded in the 2nd century BC and later developed by the Romans into a major healing center. Walk among its agoras, baths, theaters, and temples, and visit the ancient thermal pool once associated with Cleopatra and Mark Antony. The former Roman bath complex now serves as a museum displaying artifacts from early excavations.
After walking on the travertines, transfer to Denizli Airport for your evening flight to Istanbul.
