Overnight in Istanbul
Your journey begins with a gentle walk from Istanbul’s historic Old City toward the Golden Horn, where you will board a Bosphorus cruise sailing between Europe and Asia.
As you glide along this legendary waterway, waterfront mansions, Ottoman palaces, and wooden yali houses reveal the elegant 19th-century face of Istanbul. On the return journey, enjoy stunning photo opportunities of the Old City skyline — once the capital of both the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.
Disembarking near the Spice Market, you will explore one of Istanbul’s most atmospheric bazaars. Once the heart of the spice trade linking India to Europe, the market today is filled with vibrant stalls offering spices, teas, Turkish delight, and local specialties.
After free time and lunch near the market, you will return comfortably to your hotel.
Overnight in Cappadocia
Today is dedicated to the historic heart of Istanbul. You will begin at the Hippodrome, the social and sporting center of Byzantine life for over a thousand years. Here, you will see monuments such as the Egyptian Obelisk, carved in 1500 BCE and transported to Constantinople in the 4th century.
Next, visit the Blue Mosque, an active imperial mosque renowned for its graceful domes and exquisite Iznik tile work. From there, continue to the iconic Hagia Sophia — a masterpiece of world architecture that has stood since 537 AD, witnessing empires, faiths, and centuries of history.
Before lunch, descend into the atmospheric Basilica Cistern, an underground water reservoir supported by hundreds of marble columns. Enjoy lunch with views of Hagia Sophia before continuing to Topkapi Palace, once the residence of Ottoman sultans.
After exploring the palace, relax on its terraces overlooking the Bosphorus with a cup of Turkish coffee before transferring to the airport for your evening flight to Cappadocia.
